ABOUT THIS FIBRE
Our Mesh Metal Sculpting Ribbon is a fascinating fibre with many creative possibilities. It can easily metamorphose into different shapes and configurations to support your vision. Due to its braided wire composition, this ribbon expands and contracts to different widths: in its most contracted form, it measures about 0.4″ wide and in its most expanded form, it measures just under 2″ wide. Each ribbon roll is approximately 3.5 feet long.

You can stand it up for an interesting abstract aesthetic flare. You stand it out sideways from within a tapestry, wreath, or wall hanging. You can form it into a structured bow, or flower petals, or make it look like billowing smoke, or shape it into flowing water. You could string beads onto it or twist it tightly in different ballooning segments. This is an ACTIVE ribbon whose possibilities are somewhat limitless. While working with this sculpting ribbon, do enact caution around the edges. It’s made up of thin criss-crossed wires whose ends are pliable, but still a tiny bit sharp.
