Hollow Mesh Cord

ABOUT THIS FIBRE

We’re always developing interesting, funky new fibres to help our creative community retain a sense of experimentation and play. This is a fantastic wildcard fibre that just might ignite imagination!

Available in 6mm and 16mm diameter, each bundle measures approximately 75 feet.

Our hollow mesh cord is made from durable, flexible, tightly braided mesh nylon tube. Its ends cut easily with regular scissors and its magic trait is the ability to compress and expand with pressure applied. The cylindrical, hollow quality of this cord means that it could be filled or stuffed with another fibre. When knotted or stitched, this will flatten to retain knots/stitches without too much force applied. It holds its shape well in knotted or stitched form, and retains its rounded diameter over time.

The natural personality of our hollow mesh cord is CHAOS. It’s bouncy, but not flouncy. It wants to curl, and coil, and spindle about. Its natural inclination is to not want to be tamed, but that makes it oh so fun to experiment with!
