It’s time for another mystery. We’ll give you these cryptic hints, but nothing more:

–this creative challenge will be push you to think about external and internal markers of identity
–this mystery box will be due right around a change from summer to fall, a time metamorphosis, duplicity, and drama
–this mystery box will invite you to think about how you perform otherness
–this mystery frame is open enough that weavers, macramers, macra-weavers, crocheters, knitters, stitchers, quilters, welders, metal workers, floral arrangers, felters will be able to make something with it
–this mystery box will coalesce around a concept that is fully open to different interpretation and style

WHICH BOX IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

1. Expression Mystery Box Lite: ideally suited to absolute beginners, mystery box newcomers, makers with very limited time and/or materials, folks who’ve purchased but not completed mystery boxes in the past and need to lower the personal stakes a bit, creatives who tend to be immobilized by too much pressure to think outside of the box, artists who like sticking to a theme or concept that is predetermined
2. Expression Mystery Box Extreme: ideally suited to those who are seeking more of a 3D experience, folks looking for more open-ended challenge, those who’ve completed a mystery box already, artists who crave an immersive experience, makers who have extra time to experiment with form and materials, creatives in search of something totally out of the ordinary and self-guided.

WHAT WILL BE INCLUDED IN EACH BOX?

1) An innovative custom metal frame (in the powder coating colour of your choice). For both the lite and extreme tiers of the Expression Mystery Box, the metal frame has two components.

Imagination is at the heart of everything we do at Unfettered Co, and what we most love is finding ways to stir yours! Because we centralize imagination, experimentation, and free play, these mystery boxes do not come with instructions or a pattern. On the contrary, they’re intended to help you step a little outside of your comfort zones. While each mystery box will include the same items, we love knowing that each of you will use those items in different ways.
