ABOUT THIS FIBRE

Our recycled t-shirt yarn has a wonderful creation story. Tailings of cotton fabrics are cut and repurposed into this versatile yarn, which offers something special for many different fibre creatives.

All rolls are a recycled cotton/Lycra mix. Please note that due to the recycled and repurposed nature of this fibre, some rolls have a higher percentage of Lycra in the cotton mix, and therefore will have a different amount of stretch. Please also note that this is a raw-edged fibre that naturally rolls inward to create a rounded effect. Finally, please note that there are some sections of this fibre where tailing ends have been sewn or knotted together to prevent waste in the winding process.

A slight bit of stretch gives this recycled cotton t-shirt yarn excellent recovery, but also makes it less than ideal for weight-bearing creations (such as macrame plant hangers).
